Author Biography
J.D. and Dan have over thirty years’ worth of experience in rope bondage—including tying models for world-renowned fetish photographers. Rope bondage blossomed naturally from JD’s former work as an industrial rigger and Dan’s hobby as a climbing instructor.
The two met in 1999 when they noticed their similar bondage styles and philosophy while tying applicants for a bondage-modeling contest. Afterwards, they joined forces as the Two Knotty Boys. They’ve been performing live shows, rigging photoshoots and teaching bondage to packed workshops worldwide ever since. JD’s scientific background and extensive knowledge of human physiology, and Dan’s mountaineering experience and years of performing stand-up comedy, add to their uniquely informative and enjoyable teaching style.
With light-hearted humor and the educational precision of experienced instructors and lifestyle Doms, their impact on the rope bondage scene expanded worldwide with their
first best-selling guidebook, Two Knotty Boys Showing You the Ropes. Creators of nearly one hundred free video tutorials, JD and Dan are innovative educators and contributors—consistently pushing the boundaries of what can be accomplished with rope.
